  1. World Of Change 2024

    October 25, 2024

On Wednesday, October 16th, Atwood Primary students and staff wore their “We Are Atwood Awesome” shirts to unify the school community as ambassadors of change! From that day until Halloween, Atwood and Williams students continue to collect coins in individual change purses to fill a classroom jar. On Halloween morning, the two school communities will place all of their collected change in the World of Change truck! All funds will be used to grant a wish for a child through the Make-A-Wish foundation! When Matthew Hoidel, founder of World of Change, visited during a school wide assembly, he shared with the students that they are exercising their kindness muscles to make a difference in our community! #WeAreRSU18 #AtwoodAwesome

  6. National Dance Day

    September 27, 2024

Dancing is a very important tradition at the Atwood Primary School, so last Friday was the perfect time to celebrate National Dance Day as a school community! PE teacher, Mrs. Blaisdell, led the entire school in a dance routine to the song Heroes (We Could Be!). This chosen song aligns with RSU 18’s theme for the year – The Power of Me!

Principal Moody and Mrs. Naegely, Dean of Students, plan to introduce a Superpower of the Month to the Atwood Awesome Superheroes. At their first school assembly, they discussed how to activate students’ listening superpower! Thanks to the generous support of the Atwood Williams PTA, every member of the Atwood Awesome crew received a special affirmation bracelet to remind them of their power. If you meet an Atwood Superhero, ask to see the message on their wrist! These bracelets remind the students that “You are Amazing,” “Dream Big,” and “Never Give Up!” #WeAreRSU18 #AtwoodAwesome
