National Dance Day
Dancing is a very important tradition at the Atwood Primary School, so last Friday was the perfect time to celebrate National Dance Day as a school community! PE teacher, Mrs. Blaisdell, led the entire school in a dance routine to the song Heroes (We Could Be!). This chosen song aligns with RSU 18’s theme for the year – The Power of Me!
Principal Moody and Mrs. Naegely, Dean of Students, plan to introduce a Superpower of the Month to the Atwood Awesome Superheroes. At their first school assembly, they discussed how to activate students’ listening superpower! Thanks to the generous support of the Atwood Williams PTA, every member of the Atwood Awesome crew received a special affirmation bracelet to remind them of their power. If you meet an Atwood Superhero, ask to see the message on their wrist! These bracelets remind the students that “You are Amazing,” “Dream Big,” and “Never Give Up!” #WeAreRSU18 #AtwoodAwesome
