Math Bingo Night
January 8, 2024
Title I specialist at Atwood, Pam Corson, and interventionist, Fran Greenleaf, worked with the Title I specialist from Williams Elementary School to put on an amazing Math Bingo Night. Students and families from both schools gathered in the Williams cafeteria to play bingo and win math prizes. The prizes included lots of different games and materials students can play and utilize at home to strengthen their math skills in fun and engaging ways! #WeAreRSU18 #AtwoodAwesome #WESproud18
Reading with Mr. Morin

Atwood Primary School second grader, Blake, has been working very hard on his reading. After practicing on his “just right” book, Blake had a chance to share his reading skills with Assistant Superintendent, Keith Morin. When Principal McGee asked Blake what it was like to read to Mr. Morin, Blake quickly said, “It was amazing!” #WeAreRSU18 #AtwoodAwesome

Linemen Card Project
December 21, 2023
By: Principal McGee, Atwood Primary School

First grade teachers, Mandy LaRose and Lauren Mercier, took time out of their busy first grade schedules to make cards for our linemen and linewomen! After the powerful storm on December 18 and when the children and adults returned to school on December 20, electricity being restored was on everyone’s mind. Ms. LaRose and Ms. Mercier capitalized on the enthusiasm of their students to engage in a relevant writing experience – thanking our linemen! I think our entire community joins these grateful first graders in expressing gratitude for these skillful, important, and hardworking men and women! #WeAreRSU18 #AtwoodAwesome
Elfish Traditions
December 12, 2023
By: Principal McGee, Atwood Primary School

Traditions and rituals bring excitement into our schoolhouses year after year. Every year, Atwood Primary School gets visited by two little elves – Ralph the Atwood Elf and Flake Bouchard. Derek Nickerson, Lisa Loisel, and Susie Warren make sure the children are delighted every school day in the month of December with antics of these magical elves! Children enter the doors of the school each morning asking, “Have you seen the elf?” #AtwoodAwesome #WeAreRSU18
