Read-A-Thon Spirit Days
Atwood Primary School students recently took part in their annual Read-A-Thon fundraising event. As students read at school and at home, teachers and parents logged minutes which led to reaching their school wide goal of 150,000 minutes! Throughout the Read-A-Thon, students showed their reading spirit by taking part in activities such as Read My Shirt Day, Dress Like a Superhero Day, and Book Character Day. Classrooms showcased creativity and love of books by decorating doors connected to a favorite book! After working as a school-wide team to reach their goal, students are excited to celebrate their reward! Mrs. Bickford’s class used their powers of persuasion to craft a letter asking Mrs. Moody to go into the Dunk Tank at their Atwood Carnival!
