Building community at Atwood
It’s been a busy couple of days at Atwood Primary. Monday, September 23rd brought the whole school together for their first town meeting of the year. It was a great bonding experience for students and staff as Mrs. Blaisdell taught them some new dances, including “Don’t Give Up.” Students also reviewed playground safety rules and learned some interesting facts about recycling.
Tuesday saw another exciting first for the year when some special community members got to join the Atwood Primary Superheroes. The Snow Pond Seniors came to the library to read to, and with, Atwood students. These wonderful volunteers will be coming to Atwood once a month all year. They have also been invited to attend Atwood Town Meetings on Mondays.
Thank you, Snow Pond Seniors. We are so happy to have you involved in our schools.
